Pravachan on 31st August 2009

Dear Sadharmik Brothers and Sisters,

Jai Jinendra,

On Monday, 31st August 2009 from 7.00pm to 9.30pm their will be a pravachan by Shri Chandrakantbhai Mehta who is a well respected Jain scholar living in United States, New Jersey.

This year he was invited by Shri Bangkok Jain Sangh for 8days Paryushan. And on his way back home, He wanted to visit Tokyo Jain Mandir and Kobe Jain Mandir. So on our request he is going to give a pravachan for couple of hours so dont miss. It will be a good opportunity for us to know more about Jainism

It is not only for Jain it is for everybody.

Please inform to all your friends regarding this pravachan.

Swamivatsalya on 30th August 2009.

We are very happy to say that we have done the Pajushan parva nicely and we thank everybody for their extrem cooperation. We have tried our level best to make all the events properly.

We have received many emails & telephone calls regarding labh for Swamivatsalya.

But we are very sorry this time, Since we have plan to make all the items at one place with the help of few maharaj.

The timing for Swamivatsalya is 12.00pm to 2.30pm at Hall on Sunday 30th August 2009

From 2.30pm onwards their will Bahuman for Tapasvi.

Children below 7years those who have did any kind of Tapasya and those above seven who have did less then 8 Upvas please give your names to committee members.

From 3.30pm committee will present the account of this Year.

Tokyo Jain Sangh will arrange early Samvatsari Pratikraman for those with small children. Those who wish to do earlier please contact us in advance. The timing will be from 12.30 pm ~3.00 pm in Hall

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE PARVA PARYUSHAN WEEK

Respected Sadharmik Brothers and Sisters & children

We are pleased to inform you all that this year to help us celebrate Parva Paryushan with full enthusiasm & positive energy we have invited Shri.Kinjalbhai Doshi from India. He has visited Tokyo on similar occasions twice before to help us understand our great religion better and brighter. He is young, dynamic and extremely knowledgeable in Jainism and its various aspects. Tokyo Jain Sangh extends its members invitation to participate in this event wholeheartedly and make Parva Paryushan an auspicious event a grand success.

However we would humbly request all our Jain brother and sisters coming to function with their children to follow the important points as under.

1. We will be requiring volunteers for various activities. Those who wish to contribute their time and efforts, kindly inform Jain Sangh by email in advance to help us to distribute the responsibilities.

2. Devotees who would like to take labh by inviting Shri.Kinjalbhai Doshi for Lunch or Dinner please informs us in advance.

3. The most important instructions which we expect every Jain devotee to follow are to maintain complete DISCIPLINE and CLEANLINESS at the Hall which we will be the venue this time. Kindly make sure to arrange all your cycles properly so that the neighborhood citizens do not get disturbed. Also PLEASE do not GATHER outside the Hall or make any kind of LOUD NOISE. Keep the toilets clean.

4. We intend to start all programs on time as it would save everybody’s time & create a discipline in our activities. So kindly be on time for PRATIKAMAN and especially on MAHAVIR JANMA VANCHAN day. If we start on time on that day everybody will be able to eat before SUNSET (CHO-VIHAR) on that day.

5. Those who wish to take various labhs; we request them to contact us as well in advance. We would like to encourage more and more people to get involved. E.g. labh for daily prabhavnas for Pratikraman or children Shibir kindly let us know if you would like to take this opportunity for any particular labh.


6. Kindly avoid wearing black clothes during Mahavir Janma Vanchan .Also wear appropriate clothes which suit our religion during day to day programs.

7. On day of SNATRAPUJA we would like that maximum people come in Puja clothes so that they can take labh in it and please bring decorated fruits and flowers with you.

8. Fortunately our children have vacation this time, so please encourage them to get participate in maximum activities. We would also do “Bahuman” of children who can recite SUTRAS during pratikraman or do special tapasya or any other special activities by our Children.

9. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any suggestions or ideas regarding PARYUSHAN EVENTS which can help us in devoted PRABHU BHAKTI.

10. We would also like to decorate the hall to create appropriate atmosphere of Paryushan.Therefore those who would like to help please contact us soon. Also we would appreciate if our children and elders can prepare some religious charts or sutras or anything educative to high light this holy event.

11. And last but not the least, try to follow our JAIN religion strictly during these days and try to do more “PUNYA” (good deeds) and refrain from doing any activities which could lead to creation of “PAAP” (sin).

12. If you have any questions or queries regarding our religion or how to follow them during the year and during Paryushan kindly mail us and we can request Shri. Kinjalbhai Doshi to enlighten us with the appropriate answers.
