It's a pleasure that Prof. Dr. Hampana Nagarajaiah of Jainism from U.K. is visiting Japan to give lectures in Tokyo & Kyoto Universities.

Prof. Hampana is well connected with Jainism Academic activits in Japan Myakonojo Unviversity, Miyazaki. Prof. Hampana & Prof. Fujinaga of Myakonojo Kosen University are involved in Jaina Studies & research in Japan.
Prof. Hampana was born in 1936 and has authored more than 100 books in Kannada , English , etc. He has taught Jainism for under Graduate, Post Graduate, & Guided PhD Students over 38 years. He is recipient of a number f State – national – International Awards, including the "JEWEL OF JAINA WORLD" (USA).
Foreign Scholars & writers have presented him 2 Felicitation volumes – SVASTI and SANMATI, for his 75th & 80th Birthday. Prof. Hampana has presented papers at the National & International Congress and Symposia and delivered Endowment and Foundation Lectures in various Universities across the World. His contribution to the study of Jainology in particular is significant and seminal.
